WE ARE TEMPORARILY CLOSED

We are deeply saddened that after all of the hard work and dedication put in by the team since reopening, and the resources gone into ensuring a safe environment for everyone, it appears that nationally this has not been enough. So, it is with a very heavy heart we must close our doors once again, to do our bit to fight this virus.

It was announced on Monday 19th October that Wales will be going into a national lockdown from Friday 23rd of October at 6pm until Monday 9th of November meaning all non-essential businesses must close.  With our recent temporary closure, we will be keeping our doors closed until the lockdown has passed.

Room reservations at The Erskine Arms and Y Capel – All room reservations are now cancelled until 09/11/20. If you have paid for your room in advance then a full refund will be issued.

Thank you for your continued support and we very much look forward to seeing you again from Monday 9th of November.

Ben and the team.

Our guests can rest assured that we are doing everything we can to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all.  In keeping with government guidance we have put some extra measures in place, please click here to find out more along with some helpful FAQs that should answer any questions you may have.

Welcome to Y Capel (The Chapel)

Y Capel (‘The Chapel’), a sister and neighbouring property for the Erskine Arms, is a boutique guest house in the heart of the medieval Conwy walls offering eleven stunning yet homely guest bedrooms. As the name might suggest, our rooms are found within a stunning 19th century chapel and outbuildings retaining many of the original features of those structures including the baptismal pool that can be seen through the floor of the entrance, the original pitch pine roof timbers, the stone set windows and the elaborate front façade. We wanted to keep the building as original as we could in appearance but ensuring that it met with what guests would be expecting from modern comfortable accommodation.

Being right in the centre of Conwy means that we are only a few yards from all that Conwy has to offer. It also gives some of the first floor rooms interesting views out over roof tops to the Castle and beyond.
