At long last, that light at the end of what seemed like an ever extending tunnel, finally feels within reach. With recent announcements in England of the coming easing of restrictions then we can only hope that this will follow suit in Wales once announcements are made over the coming days from Drakeford. It will be with a very happy heart that hopefully we can once again welcome guests back to Y Capel from spring.
As soon as some more definite dates have been released we will keep you updated on our opening plans.
We can’t wait to welcome you back.

Y Capel (‘The Chapel’), a sister and neighbouring property for the Erskine Arms, is a boutique guest house in the heart of the medieval Conwy walls offering eleven stunning yet homely guest bedrooms. As the name might suggest, our rooms are found within a stunning 19th century chapel and outbuildings retaining many of the original features of those structures including the baptismal pool that can be seen through the floor of the entrance, the original pitch pine roof timbers, the stone set windows and the elaborate front façade. We wanted to keep the building as original as we could in appearance but ensuring that it met with what guests would be expecting from modern comfortable accommodation.
Being right in the centre of Conwy means that we are only a few yards from all that Conwy has to offer. It also gives some of the first floor rooms interesting views out over roof tops to the Castle and beyond.
We'll be in touch from time to time to keep you updated with all of our latest news and goings on.
